About Yama Studio

Yama Studio is a curated collection of fine art prints created to bring timeless artwork into everyday spaces.

Drawing on carefully selected works from across art history alongside contemporary artists, the studio focuses on pieces that combine visual harmony, cultural depth, and timeless artistic appeal — artworks chosen to live comfortably in modern homes while retaining the character and atmosphere of their original traditions.

The name Yama (山) means mountain in Japanese — a symbol of calm, permanence, and perspective. These qualities sit at the heart of the studio.

Fine Art, For Your World

Art has always shaped the way people experience their surroundings. A single image can create atmosphere, evoke memory, or bring a sense of calm to a room.

At Yama Studio, fine art is not seen as something reserved only for galleries or museums. Instead, it is something that can live comfortably in homes, studios, offices, and creative spaces — quietly enriching the environments where daily life unfolds.

The studio launches with a collection focused on the elegance and balance of Japanese woodblock prints, one of the most celebrated traditions within Japanese art.

The founder of Yama Studio has a particular passion for this tradition of printmaking, and the studio’s first collection celebrates the work of two of its most iconic masters.

Yama Studio will continue to expand its catalogue with additional collections featuring both historic master artists and emerging British artists, while maintaining a consistent focus on timeless design and visual balance.

A Carefully Curated Selection

The launch collection at Yama Studio focuses on Japanese woodblock prints by two of the most celebrated artists in Japanese art history:

Utagawa Hiroshige — renowned for his atmospheric landscapes and poetic depictions of everyday life
Katsushika Hokusai — one of the most influential artists of the Edo period, known for his bold compositions and iconic imagery

These works represent the beginning of the Yama Studio catalogue.

Future collections will gradually expand the studio’s offering, introducing additional Japanese printmakers, historic master artists from other artistic traditions, and contemporary artists working today.

The Studio

Yama Studio is an independent project created by Sam Reynolds.

With a background in design, photography, and visual curation, Sam created the studio as a way to bring carefully selected fine art into everyday environments.

The studio focuses on artworks that combine strong composition, visual calm, and cultural depth — pieces that can live comfortably in modern homes while still carrying the character and atmosphere of their artistic origins.

Yama Studio continues to evolve as a growing collection of artwork chosen with care and respect for the artists and traditions represented.

Print Quality

Yama Studio artworks are produced using high-quality printing methods and carefully selected materials designed to achieve rich colour, clear detail, and a refined finish true to the original artwork.

Fine art prints are available in multiple frame-ready sizes, allowing customers to choose the format that best suits their space.

All artworks are available as either print-only or as professionally framed prints, allowing customers to choose the presentation that best suits their space. Framed pieces are presented in high-quality frames designed to complement the artwork while providing a clean, gallery-style finish ready to hang.

In addition to fine art prints, Yama Studio also offers a small range of artist-led apparel, including premium t-shirts and hoodies featuring selected artworks from the collection. These garments are produced using high-quality materials and durable printing techniques designed to preserve the detail and character of the artwork.

Each piece in the collection is selected with the aim of bringing calm, beauty, and artistic heritage into the spaces where people live their everyday lives.
